(MENAFN - Arab News) The taiwan external trade development council (taitra) will lead a 32-member trade delegation representing various industries to the kingdom on june 9.

the visit takes place with the support of the ministry of economic affairs.

it will help boost the trade volume between saudi arabia and taiwan said representative jinn-jong lin of the taipei economic and cultural representative office (tecro).

the delegation will meet local businessmen at the riyadh palace hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p. m.

he said the visit aims to facilitate business cooperation and strengthen trade relations between the taiwanese delegation and their counterparts in the kingdom and other parts of the middle east and central asia.

the delegation is also scheduled to visit both riyadh jeddah almaty in kazakhstan and sanaa in yemen.

w. k. lai economic counselor said businessmen in the kingdom and other parts of the middle east could expect the best products and services from the delegation.

'having made great strides in furthering taiwanese industries' global presence taiwan remains a force to be reckoned with in technologically advanced manufacturing" he said.

he said taiwan is home to key manufacturers and suppliers of various products including electronics it components semiconductors photovoltaic applications car electronics auto parts motorcycles bicycles industrial machinery and equipment and mold and die work.

the economic counselor said taitra had arranged a series of trade meetings to give local companies a valuable platform to discuss business with the delegation who offers various products in the following sectors:

1. machinery — plastic injection machines motor tricycles renewable energy technologies turnkey solutions etc.

2. air-conditioning equipment — blowers spot coolers air diffusers air dampers air handling units fan oil units central air-conditioners among others

3. consumer electronics and electrical products — compact wireless ip cameras cctv cameras dvrs ip cameras led street lights led lighting fixtures cd-r/cd-rw/dvd-rw pa systems and sound-system equipment

4. building materials — cast aluminum doors copper doors wood-encased steel doors armor doors anti-fire doors ceiling suspension systems dry wall partition frame systems

5. metals and hardware products — investment casting die casting bar stock stamping o-rings and gaskets semi-tubular rivets bolts screws nuts stamping parts etc.
