Shanghai GM to recall 26,579 vehicles

(MENAFN) According to China's watchdogs, Shanghai General Motors (GM) is to recall 26,579 Buick Enclave vehicles starting June 30, Xinhua reported. The Sino-US joint venture said that the recall is due to a fault in the vehicles' front seat belts cables, which may break over time. A General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine statement said that the vehicles were produced between Aug. 15, 2008 and April 10 this year. Shanghai GM will replace the parts for free, the statement said.
