Australia's exports to China hit USD92.3b in 2013


(MENAFN) The Australian Minister of Trade and Investment announced that the country's exports to China exceeded USD92.3 billion over 2013, Xinhua reported. The Minister said that the data released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has underlined the importance of China as Australia's major trading partner, while concluding a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is a high priority of the government. Australia's exports to China, which accounted for almost a third of Australia's total goods and services exports, were valued at USD94.1 billion in 2013, an increase of USD20.3 billion, up 28 percent compared to 2012. Japan was Australia's second largest export market in 2013 with USD46 billion followed by South Korea's USD19.4 billion, the United States' USD14.7 billion and India's USD10 billion.
