Nine Afghan Soldiers Killed in Roadside Blasts


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Bul may 21 (qna) - at least nine afghan national army (ana) soldiers were killed following improvised explosive device (ied) attacks.

defense ministry spokesman gen. zahir azimi said the afghan national army soldiers were martyred in the past 24 hours.



azimi did not disclose further information regarding the exact locations of the incident.

in the meantime azimi said at least 34 militants were killed during military operations conducted by afghan national army soldiers in the last 24 hours according to (khaama press).



he said at least 30 militants were also injured and 40 improvised explosive devices (ieds) were confiscated during the operations.

the anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
