(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The Oman Road Safety Association (ORSA) has joined hands with AIESEC Oman to spread awareness on road safety among the youth.
Shaima bint Murtadha al Lawati, chief executive officer, ORSA, was quoted in a press release as saying, ''Age, inexperience and gender are three main factors that put the youth at an increased risk of road accidents worldwide. Through partnership with AIESEC, ORSA is planning to spread awareness among the youth. These initiatives will encourage youth to play a greater role in spreading information on road safety among their peers.''
Nadeem Ahmed, manager, AIESEC Oman, said, ''We have started interacting with youths from different colleges across Oman. These young people will share and exchange their experiences and knowledge and enrich the project.
''They will act as volunteers who will conduct regular workshops on road safety under ORSA's guidance.''
