KIA senior official discusses cooperation with Tunisian FM


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Executive Director of General Reserve at Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) Bader Ajeel Al-Ajeel on Tuesday discussed investment opportunities and prospects of expanding them with Tunisian Foreign Minister Munji Hamdi. Al-Ajeel, according to a foreign ministry statement, "had important and constructive discussions with different Tunisian parties in a frank and distinguished atmosphere. "The Kuwaiti side aspires to build strategic partnerships with Tunisian investors and businessmen," he said. On his part, Minister Hamdi stressed during the meeting "significance given by the Tunisian government to GCC-financed investment, especially Kuwait, which has great investment capabilities." Hamdi, during the meeting, briefed the KIA delegation on Tunisian legislative and administrative procedures aimed at attracting investors and encourage them expand their ventures in major industrial sectors. After meeting with Premier Mahdi Juma yesterday, Al-Ajeel revealed that a Kuwaiti business delegation will be visiting Tunisia late next month to meet Tunisian business leaders and explore potentials of joint investment. A total of 22 Kuwaiti corporations invest some 419 million Tunisian dinars (about USD 261 million) in Tunisia and employ 4,400 Tunisian workers.
