Saudi eyes Spanish investors to invest in USD800m projects


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia and Spain have announced their plans to strengthen bilateral relations between them, according to Arab News. The announcement was revealed in a meeting between Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense and King Juan Carlos of Spain on Sunday, along with other major officials. Abdul Rahman Al-Zamil, president of the Council of Saudi Chambers and Abdullah Al-Rasheed, invited the Spanish companies to participate in vital projects worth USD800 billion offered by Saudi Arabia in various sectors. "King Juan Carlos has shown interest in small and medium enterprises. We have also informed him about the delay in getting business visas which takes up to 15 days," said Al-Zamil. Juan Carlos, highlighting Saudi economic stability, said: "Saudi Arabia plays an important role in the Middle East and the Arab Islamic world. It has become a key player in G20 and other international forums."
