Hyundai recalls 140,000 Tucson crossover vehicles

(MENAFN) According to documents filed with US auto safety regulators, Hyundai Motor Co. announced recalling more than 140,000 Tucson crossover utility vehicles, Arab News reported. The recalling is due to the air bag assembly defect which may come loose from its mounting on the steering wheel, the automaker said. The South Korean automaker said the recall affects 137,500 Tucsons in the US and 3,500 in Puerto Rico, from model years 2011 to 2014. Hyundai said that there have been no reports of accidents or injuries as a result of the defect.
