US Consumer Sentiment misses expectations in April

(MENAFN) The University of Michigan said in its Consumer Sentiment survey that the US consumer sentiment failed to meet expectations in April as it fell in the first half of May, QNA reported. The below-expectations performance reflects the negative view of consumers regarding the current economic condition, the University added. May's expectations were 84.1, however the results came at 81.8. Despite that, this reading was the highest in 2014, as the readings of January, February and March were 81.2, 81.6 and 80.0, respectively.
