(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Bul may 18 (qna) - six taliban militants were killed in joint operations launched by afghan security forces and the international security assistance force in afghanistan (isaf) during the past twenty-four hours in different regions of the country.
afghanistan's interior ministry said in a statement today that afghan forces carried out with isaf several joint operations killing six taliban militants injuring six others and arresting seven others.
the statement added that the operations took place in laghman kunduz kandahar zabul logar khost herat farah nimroz and nangarhar provinces.
the security forces seized large quantities of heavy and light weapons.
however the statement did not say if there were any casualties on the security forces. (qna)
