New Zealand trade hits USD107.99b driven by China


(MENAFN) According to a report from the New Zealand government statistics agency, a series of New Zealand trade records was driven by China last year, Xinhua reported. New Zealand's trade of goods and services, including exports and imports, reached a total of USD107. 99 billion, up USD2.59 billion compared to the same period last year. Milk powder accounted for the largest increase in goods exports, up from USD1.55 billion to USD7.52 billion, the highest-ever value of milk powder exported for any year. "China moved up the ranks to become our top destination for goods exports, with USD8.64 billion worth in 2013. China accounted for 21 percent of our total exports in 2013, compared with the 19 percent that went to Australia," said the report.
