(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The new premises of Capital Veterinary Centre was inaugurated in Qurm on Thursday by Dr Hadi Mohsin Abdullah al Lawati, director of animal health department, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.
The centre offers a range of veterinary services like pet treatment, a salon and boarding facility. The centre also has an examination room, an x-ray room, operation theatre, ICU and boarding for inpatient animals. It can accommodate at least 15 cats, eight medium-sized dogs and six big breed dogs.
There are separate wards for cats and dogs. The centre has a qualified veterinary surgeon and two veterinary assistants. It also helps pet owners in getting the travel documents ready for animals.
Zakiya al Zakwani, managing director said, ''We specialise in treatment of dogs, cats, rodents and birds.'' The centre also takes care of stray animals. Iman al Seid, assistant veterinarian at the centre said, ''We are the only clinic in Oman that performs free surgeries on stray animals.''
Rajesh Menon, who always brings his pets to the centre said, ''I have three dogs and have never felt the need take them to another clinic. The staff here is very friendly.'
