(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The Directorate of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations in North Batinah Police Command has arrested a citizen from Sohar on charges of stealing valuables, cash and gold worth RO7,000. 

ROP sources said the theft took place when the owner of the house was away.

Raid on farm yields 2kg drugs

A drug dealer was arrested with nearly 2kg of drugs after a team from the Directorate General for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances raided a farm in South Ma'abela in the wilayat of Seeb. Investigations revealed that the accused had received a large amount of drugs from an international gang. The raid yielded 278 drug capsules.

One arrested for bootlegging

An Asian expatriate has been arrested by officials from the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations at Dhofar Police Command for bootlegging. Another expatriate was arrested in the governorate for violating the Telecommunications Regulatory Act. Residences of both accused were raided following tip-offs and items confiscated. They have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
