(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Oman's women bowling team member Laila al Harthy was adjudged the most ideal player at the inaugural GCC Women's Bowling Championship that concluded in Manama, #Bahrain on Tuesday.

The women's championship was held along with the 13th GCC championship for men for the first time.

Oman women clinched a silver in the overall category while hosts #Bahrain won the women and men's team titles. #UAE men and women took the bronze while #SaudiArabia caimed the silver in the men's overall ranking.

Oman men had to settle for the wooden spoon at the six-nation event.

UAE's Naif Oqab retained the individual men's crown while Noora Sultan took the top honours in the women's event.

Later, #Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) member and Women's Sport Committee chairwoman Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz al Khalifa and BOC acting general secretary Abdulrahman Askar presented the awards to individual winners and teams.
