Qatar- Al Najjar welcomes Chamber's announcement


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Abdulrahman Al Najjar (pictured), the independent nominee to the election of Qatar Chamber of Commerce, yesterday welcomed the announcement of the chamber to transfer the mission of managing some of the sectors committees of the election to people from outside the board of the chamber. He said on the importance of this orientation, which will expand the participation from private sector in the concerns of the merchants' house. "This orientation is unprecedented step and a great achievement by the new board from now. Here we see a response for what we demanded it from the beginning of this election, and personally I considered that as a great success for me and for all those who seeking for the benefit and development of the Chamber to be able to play a vital role in serving the private sector," said Al Najjar. "We are looking forward to build on this new orientation about further steps which make Qatar Chamber of Commerce not only consultative entity, but also an institution able to reinforcement the principle of the constructive partnership of between the private sector and public sector and building a complementary relationship with the public sector, so as the priority to the Qatar partnerships in the projects and tenders and toward and institution capable of drawing basis and controls of the local product support and preference it to the governmental agencies," he said. "We aspire that our chamber has a legal personality, to depend on it in its way for the modernization and development which should be carried out according to objective and realistic study for the problems and needs of the businessmen, and also have a real roadmap to solve those problems and upgrade the private sector to the desired level," he said. "We are the businessmen, without any doubt, support and welcome by every step contribute in strength the confidence and merit in the private sector especially that it has already succeed in more than one stage to play the vital and real role in state projects, whether those related to the country's development strategies till 2016, or Qatar National vision 2030, or the infrastructure projects and those related to the world cup 2022 projects," he added.
