S. Korea ranks 33rd in GDP per person


(MENAFN) South Korea ranked 33rd in the world in terms of gross domestic product (GDP) per person in 2013, up eight ranks compared to five years ago, QNA reported. According to a report by the International Monetary Fund, South Korea's nominal GDP per person reached USD24,329 in 2013. The country's nominal GDP reached USD1.2 trillion last year, continuing to rank 15th for the fifth consecutive year in terms of nominal GDP. Luxembourg topped the list with GDP per person of USD110,423, followed by Norway, Qatar and Switzerland. The U.S. ranked 9th, Germany 18th and Japan 24th.
