German exports decrease 1.8 percent in March


(MENAFN) Exports of Germany posted a drop in March, driven by the political disorder in Ukraine and its implications on the global economy, QNA reported. German exports decreased by 1.8 percent in March, falling for the second consecutive month, after it declined 1.3 percent in February driven by Ukrainian crisis which continue to have its toll on Germany. The country's imports also declined 0.9 percent during March compared to an increase of 0.4 percent year-on-year, while trade surplus registered USD20.36 billion, up by USD275.14 million compared to February. Economists were expecting a 1.3 percent growth in German exports during March, however it has missed its target by a considerable margin.
