Britain's Serco signs USD44m contract with Qatari Ministry of Defence


(MENAFN) Serco, which operates Dubai Metro, has signed a contract worth USD44 million with Qatar's Ministry of Defence to deliver training for the Qatar Armed Forces in Doha, according to Arabian Business. Under the agreement, Serco will be responsible for delivering the professional military education course at the postgraduate level for the QAF's mid-career officers (Majors and Lieutenant Colonels) from the Qatari Emiri Navy, Army and Air Force. The courses will be delivered in partnership with the UK Ministry of Defence and Kings College London. The first 40 students have already started their year-long course in Doha.
