Spain's new business up 14.1 percent


(MENAFN) According to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the total number of new businesses created in Spain increased by 14.1 percent in March compared to year earlier, Xinhua reported. The total number of businesses created in March reached of 9,516 businesses, with the regions of Madrid and Catalonia registering the highest number of new businesses, according to the INA. The newly created businesses used a subscribed capital of USD654,865 with an increase of 2 percent compared to a year earlier, while the total amount of capital stood at USD68,791 with a decrease of 10.6 percent year-on-year. The newly created businesses in the trade sector accounted for 23.3 percent of the total business created in March, while the construction sector accounter for 17.8 percent.
