German Exports Down 1.8% in March


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Rlin may 09 (qna) - germany's exports declined in march as a result of the turmoil in ukraine and its implications on the global economy.

german exports fell 1.8% in march. it is the second month in a row where exports have fell in february the decrease was 1.3% as the ukrainian crisis continue to have its toll on germany. the economic slowdown in china is also having an effect on europe's biggest economy. economists were forecasting a 1.3% growth in german exports during march. the economy however have missed its target by a considerable margin.

imports also fell by 0.9% during march compared to an increase of 0.4% in february while trade surplus was eur14.8 billion up by eur200 million in comparison to february. (qna)
