Toyota profit hits USD17 b in 12 months


(MENAFN) Toyota's annual net profit was estimated at USD17.9 billion on higher sales, though it warned that earnings growth would stall this year, according to Arab News. The sharp drop in the yen helped Japanese car companies achieve their sales targets and inflate their repatriated profits. The company"s net profit in its fiscal year, ended in March 2014, was estimated at USD17.9 billion, or more than double compared to the same period a year earlier. Toyota's sales also saw a significant growth by 16.4 percent to hit USD252 billion, while operating profit boosted to USD0.022 trillion compared to USD0.012 trillion.
