Coal production slows down in Q1 in China


(MENAFN) China's coal sector was significantly affected by rising stockpiles, falling prices and declining profitability since the beginning of this year, according to Qatar News Agency. (Xinhua) reported that coal production slipped 1.31 percent year on year and sales shrank 1.29 percent. Coal production dropped by 1 percent to 878 million tons in the first quarter of 2014, while sales declined 1.4 percent to 844 million tones.
