Sofitel boosts Middle East portfolio

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Sofitel luxury hotels continues to grow its middle east portfolio with the recent launch of the sofitel dubai downtown in the heart of dubai last week.

enjoying a prime location right on sheikh zayed road and across from the burj khalifa the 350-room property offers spectacular views of the world’s tallest building and the arabian coast. the hotel is located opposite the dubai mall metro station and just a few hundred metres from the dubai mall.

“the sofitel dubai downtown is a very exciting addition to the five-star hotel industry in dubai. we are all certain that occupancy figures will exceed our expectations. at the moment all indications look very positive considering the feedback we are receiving from our clients” klaus assmann general manager of the hotel told khaleej times.

“at sofitel dubai downtown we are bringing a piece of france to dubai. our location is unsurpassed in the very vibrant downtown area and our dedicated staff will try to be one step ahead of customer’s expectations.”

the latest addition to dubai’s five-star luxury hotels the new sofitel’s design has been inspired by victor vasarely’s op art movement and reflects sofitel’s passion for excellence and french art de vivre. the property has a large variety of rooms including 76 suites with panoramic views of either the burj khalifa or the coastline.

“dubai is a very competitive arena in the field of hospitality. every new hotel or establishment needs to keep re-inventing itself in order to keep up with the market to exceed customer expectations and at the same time make a unique offering. i think as we progress and mature as a destination that we will continue to offer a range of opportunities for our guests” said assmann.

asked about sofitel’s plans for ramadan and the upcoming expo 2020 event assmann said: “at the moment we are focusing on a ‘magnifique’ opening experience and to create a unique environment for our guests. we are certain that we will have high occupancy levels during ramadan and with the amazing burj khalifa view offered by the above lounge restaurant we are sure that we will have the most popular ramadan tent.”
