PTI workers create ugly scenes in Lahore High Court


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Imran maintained that the court has delayed the process for about a year thus denying justice in his complaint of manipulation of election results.

lahore high court (lhc) chief justice umar ata bandial on wednesday abruptly adjourned hearing in a petition filed by the pakistan tehreek-i-insaaf (pti) amid rowdy scenes allegedly created by the party workers who stormed the court room while raising slogans.

pti chief imran khan has moved the court for vacating its stay order issued in june last year suspending thumb verification of votes cast in lahore’s constituency 122 where he had lost to national assembly speaker sardar ayaz sadiq.

imran maintained that the court has delayed the process for about a year thus denying justice in his complaint of manipulation of election results.

the pti workers accompanying imran entered the court room breaking the door and flower pots while some raised slogans. in disgust the chief justice left the room despite verbal apology offered by imran’s counsel ahmed owais.
