Israel Allows Entry of 440 Trucks into Gaza


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) za May 08 - Palestinian Chairman of the Coordinating Committee of Gaza's Supplies Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli occupation authorities will allow through the Karam Abu Salem crossing on Thursday the entry of 440 trucks into the Gaza strip and the export of one truck loaded with green spices and pepper to Europe.

Fattouh said the trucks will be loaded with aids and goods for commercial agricultural and transportation sectors.

The Israeli authorities will also allow the pumping of limited quantities of cooking gas diesel and transportation fuel.

Two trucks loaded with cement and 46 trucks loaded with gravel for UNRWA projects in addition to 36 trucks loaded with gravel for UNDP projects will be allowed through the terminal.

Karam Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing through which goods and fuel imports can enter into Gaza and the Israeli authorities close it every Friday and Saturday each week.
