Ithraa's Oman forum in Brazil from May 12


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Final preparations are underway for an Omani Investment Forum in Sao Paulo, Brazil, next week. Organised by Ithraa from May 12-14, the forum will promote Oman's business climate and investment opportunities to Brazilian companies in the logistics, agriculture, food, infrastructure, transport and pharmaceutical sectors. 

The Omani delegation will be led by H E Yahya al Jabri, chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm, and includes representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, Oman Food Investment Holding Co, Port of Duqm, Oman Drydock Co, Sohar Port and Freezone and Salalah Port and Freezone. The forum will also be attended by selected Omani companies from the target sectors, a press release said.

According to Faris al Farsi, Ithraa's director general for investment promotion, ''The goal of our Brazil visit is to raise Oman's investment profile. With Vale's successful investment in Sohar we believe it's time to expand the Oman-Brazil trade and investment relationship.''
