Qatar- HH the Emir Issues Ratification Decrees


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha May 07 - HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Wednesday issued Decree No. 17 of 2014 ratifying a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the legal field between the State of Qatar's Ministry of Justice and the Republic of the Sudan's Ministry of Justice which was signed in Khartoum on May 30 2013 and to come into force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

HH the Emir issued Decree No. 18 of 2014 ratifying an agreement on the regulation of employing the Macedonian workers in Qatar between the governments of Qatar and the Republic of Macedonia and which was signed in Skopje on October 17 2011 and to come into force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

HH also issued Decree No. 19 of 2014 ratifying an agreement on the activities of diplomatic cooperation between the governments of Qatar and the French Republic which was signed on June 23 2013 and to have the power of law as per Article 68 of the constitution.

Additionally HH the Emir issued Decree No. 20 of 2014 ratifying a MoU on environmental cooperation between the governments of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and which was signed in Riyadh on March 1 2013 and to come into force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

HH issued Decree No. 21 of 2014 ratifying an agreement between Qatar and the Swiss Confederation on the avoidance of double taxation in relation to income tax and the attached protocol and which was signed on September 24 2009 and to have the power of law as per Article 68 of the constitution.

The decrees are effective as of the date of publication in the official gazette.
