(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) man May 07 - Jordanian King Abdullah II met here on Wednesday with Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani.
During the meeting King Abdullah stressed the need to support initiatives aimed at cementing cooperation between Muslim countries promoting dialogue between different cultures and civilizations and building bridges of understanding among them.
Madani commended Jordan's efforts to serve Islam and highlight its essence message and tolerant teachings paying tribute to the Kingdom's role in protecting Muslim and Christian sanctities in Al Quds (Jerusalem).
He also hailed Jordan's endeavors to bring about security and stability in the region and the world saying the Kingdom is a model for moderation in the region.
