Qatar- HE Prime Minister Chairs Cabinet Meeting


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) ha May 07 -HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani chaired the cabinet's regular session held at the Emiri Diwan premises here on Wednesday.

Following the session HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud stated the following: The Cabinet considered issues tabled on the agenda as following:First: Approving a draft law combating smuggling of oil products and the illegimate handling of them.

The draft law stipulates the banning of entry of exit of any oil products but only as per the legislative rules applicable and effective in the state and toughening penalties against the violators .

Second:Approving a draft decision of the minister of economy and trade amending some provisions of the decision No.70 of 2006 concerning the shopping stores located in the residential areas.

According to the aforesaid draft decision the licences of the shopping stores should be renewed for a three years'period as of 6/7/2014.

Third: the cabinet then reviewed the two following topics and adopted the relevant appropriate decisions:1- A memo of HE the Minister Of Public Health concerning the outcomes of the 41st session of the Arab health ministers'council which was held in Cairo in march 2014.

2- A report about the visit HE the minister of transport paid to German company Herrenknecht which will soon deliver 15 high-tech tunnel boring machines (TBM) for the Doha Metro project.

It is noted that a Qatari delegation led by the Minister of Transport HE Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti had visited the Herrenknecht plant in Schwanau to have a closer look at the first TBM for the project. Former chancellor Gerhard Schroder was also present.

Fourth: Taking the necessary measures for endorsing the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the governments of qatar and Cyprus in sea water water deslination and treatment of the sewage water and reusing it.

Fifth: Approving the draft agreement on avoidance of double taxation and banning fiscal evasion in term of income tax between the governments of Qatar and Gambia.
