(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Sayyid Dr Sultan Bin Ya'rub al Busaidi, the Ministry of Health's advisor for health affairs, was briefed about the development of cosmetic services provided by Muscat Private Hospital (MPH), the leading private hospital in the sultanate after inaugurating the recent Healthcare and Fitness Exhibition, being held at Oman International Exhibition Centre.

During Busaidi's tour at the exhibition, he listened to a detailed explanation about the plastic surgical operations, cosmetics and physical fineness services provided by the hospital. Busaidi commended the important and positive role played by the hospital in supporting the health services across the sultanate. Busaidi said, ''We hope that the participants at the exhibition would achieve the objectives of their participations by complying with what has been displayed.

We wish that the community would benefit from such exhibitions. We wish also all the best of luck for the participating exhibitors and the Omani citizens.'' He was also briefed about the state-of-the-art equipment possessed by the hospital and the latest technologies it uses in plastic surgeries through a brief explanation provided by Dr Waseem Saeed, a British plastic surgeon who after working in the UK for 23 years took up full time practice at Muscat Private Hospital last year.

Dr Saeed said, ''MPH is a large, multi-specialty hospital that has a good track record of safety and quality. I have brought state-of-the art techniques such as the Bodyjet liposuction equipment from the UK, so that I can provide the same up-to-date service here at Muscat Private Hospital, that I would provide in the UK.

My experience with Muscat Private Hospital is that it is as good as the private hospitals that I worked back in the UK. ''At MPH's outlet in the exhibition, we have set up a closed area for conducting examinations, so that we can provide mini-consultations free of charge.

''Patients can come and discuss their needs and have questions answered by myself and our clinic nurse manager Khadra, who can also book MPH clinic appointments and make arrangements for cosmetic or reconstructive plastic surgery.'
