The group, founded in 2012, has 64 members including former ambassadors and Municipal Council members.

According to Hamed Khalfan Abdullah al Wuhaibi, HR manager, Al Hoqani Group, and founder of Voice of Oman, the cultural session will be held once a week during Ramadan. ''We are planning to hold a session every Tuesday from the first week of Ramadan.

''We are yet to finalise the venue for these sessions. They could be either held at the office of wali of Bausher or the Polyglot Institute.''

''During Ramadan, there are several cultural sessions focusing on poetry and theatre, but we will mainly hold discussions on national issues. We will discuss Shura and Municipal Councils' regulations and issues related to corruption, and youth,'' he said.

Wuhaibi said the group may  continue holding the sessions even after Ramadan. ''If we get good feedback from participants, the sessions could become a monthly affair
