(MENAFN - Arab News) Ng abdullah sports city's management has captured video footage of hooligans damaging the international stadium's property. the videos have been passed on to security agencies to take deterrent punitive action against them a saudi aramco source said.'the entire sports city is monitored through cctv cameras that help security officers know what is taking place inside the facility just like any other international stadium" said the source who requested anonymity.the city's management has noted damages in stadium stands the source said in a report published by sabq.org.he said the digital ticket system to be developed by saudi aramco which is the stadium's operator would contribute to preventing such violations as the ticket would be linked with the civil id or iqama.'the new ticket system will make it easier to find culprits" he said.bloggers reacted to the news saying such hooligans should be banned from entering stadiums for life. they also urged authorities to publish photos of such people to serve as a deterrent for others. those who damaged the property should be asked to pay to repair them another said.speaking with arab news badr almotawa a saudi journalist said some people were upset with the mismanagement adding that the organization was not up to the mark. the saudi post which was authorized to distribute tickets got only 25000 tickets and many people were unable to receive them. however he said individuals who damage public properties deserve to have punitive action taken against them. 'we cannot call these people criminals. such people are found all over the world" he said.one blogger proposed that they must be fined sr1000 and banned from entering stadiums for a period of two years. 'we have to learn from the japanese. when they came to qatar to watch the asian cup match they carried plastic bags to put their leftovers and keep the area clean" one observer said.
