EC predicts Spanish economy to grow 1.1 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) According to predictions published on Monday by the European Commission (EC), Spanish economy is forecasted to grow 1.1 percent in the current year, Xinhua reported. The Spanish economy growth forecasted by the EC is opposed to the 1 percent previously predicted, while the economy growth forecasted for 2015 is 2.1 percent, as opposed to the 1.7 percent GDP expansion predicted previously. Spanish government had announced that the country's economy is forecasted to grow by 1.2 percent and 1.8 percent in 2014 and 2015, respectively. The Spanish outlook was improved by the EC five days after the Spanish government announced similar, providing more optimistic prediction for the country.
