(MENAFN) The European Commission (EUC) projected inflation in the 28-member European Union and the 18-member Eurozone to remain low in the current year, at 1.0 percent and 0.8 percent, Xinhua reported.
This projection means a drop from the 1.2 percent in the European Union and 1.0 percent in the Eurozone inflation rate given in a February forecasts.
In the 2014 spring forecast, the EUO expected inflation rate in the EU and the euro area in 2015 to hit 1.5 percent and 1.2 percent, respectively.
