S. Korean exports to China lower than expected


(MENAFN) Exports from South Korea to China saw a slight growth in the first four month of the current year as China"s demand on foreign products is less than usual, according to Qatar News Agency. Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy reported that Korea"s exports to china were estimated at USD42.05 billion worth in the four-month period, or 1.5 percent higher than the same period 2013. The country"s growth rate was slower than the 8.7 percent posted in the same period in 2013, South Korea's (Yonhap) News Agency reported. China's economy grew 7.4 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2014, compared to the 7.7 percent growth in the fourth quarter of 2013. It is also weaker than its annual growth objective of a 7.5 percent expansion.
