UNSC strongly condemns terrorist attack in Yemen


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Security Council Monday "condemned in the strongest terms" the recent terrorist attacks that occurred in Yemen, including the one earlier in the day in Sanaa, which killed a French national and injured others. In a press statement issued by its current President, South Korea, the Council reaffirmed that terrorism is criminal and unjustifiable act, regardless of its motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed, and should not be associated with any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group. Reaffirming the need to combat threats caused by terrorism by all means, the Council underlined the need to bring perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism to justice, and urged all States, to cooperate actively with the Yemeni authorities in this regard. The Council finally underlined its support to the Yemeni Government, under the leadership of President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi, to combat terrorism.
