Egyptian Student Shot Last Week Dies of his Wounds


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo May 05 - A student in Egypt's Al-Azhar University who was shot last week during a protest died Monday of his wounds.

State-run Al Ahram newspaper reported today that Ahmed Abdel-Sattar who was shot in the head on the university's campus last Wednesday died five days later affected by his wounds. He has been in a coma since then. Students in Al-Azhar have been staging a number of protests in support of deposed president Dr. Mohammed Morsy.

Yesterday Al Azhar university expelled 74 students for being involved in the protests. Some of these protests have turned violent in the past and led to damage to properties.
