Strict regulations on dairy imports in China


(MENAFN) Chinese quality regulator issued a new regulation which allows selling dairy products in the country only to those who have registered with the Chinese authorities, Xinhua reported. According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), overseas dairy products must meet Chinese rules and standards of sanitary conditions and get approval from authorities to be sold in the country. The new regulations involve 1,122 companies, 41 makers of which are concerned with baby formula, in the first batch of registered overseas dairy products, according to the AQSIQ.
