(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Kuwait May 05 - Undersecretary of Kuwait Commerce and Industry Ministry Abdulaziz Al-Khaledi termed as "good" outcome of the first round of the 12th session of Kuwaiti-Iranian trade committee.
The session kicked off earlier to tackle means of boosting bilateral trade cooperation according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Reaffirming keenness of the Kuwaiti delegation to come up with outcomes that would "buttress the historic relation with the Islamic Republic" Al-Khaledi also said the meeting would contribute to "removing all obstacles in face of advancing the trade process between the two countries as well as beefing up the investment volume."Expansion of trade economic industrial investment and maritime transport cooperation were all discussed in the meeting he noted.
He also described his meeting with Iranian Minister of Commerce Industries and Mines Mohammadreza Nematzadeh as "fruitful."Kuwait's delegation to the meeting is headed by Undersecretary Al-Khaledi and includes representatives of a host of ministries and government bodies. It was attended by Kuwait's Ambassador in Tehran Majdi Al-Thifiri.
The committee sessions are an off-shoot of a bilateral agreement signed in 1998.
