(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo May 04 - The Arab League is arranging to dispatch a 70-member observation mission for the Egyptian presidential elections to be held on May 26-17.
In this context Assistant Secretary-General and head of the information and communication in the Arab League Hayfa Abu Ghazala who is also the head of the Arab League's observation mission to the Egyptian presidential elections will hold on Wednesday a press conference on preparations for the Arab League participation in the Egyptian presidential elections.
An Arab League official source said that the General Secretariat signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Supreme Judiciary Committee supervising the presidential election on organizing the participation of the Arab League mission.
The mission is to consist of 70 non-Egyptian observers the source added.
Over the past two months the Arab League participated with an observation mission in the presidential election in Algeria and with another in the parliamentary election in Iraq.
