Etihad Airways to launch 35 weekly flights to Perth

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways announced that it plans to launch a new daily route between Abu Dhabi and Perth in Western Australian starting from July 15 of the current year, Gulf News reported. Etihad said that the number of weekly flights between the two countries will increase from 25 to 35. "We are confident our new services will boost travel and trade between the UAE and Western Australia, and strengthen our presence in Australia, where we already serve Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane with great success," said the president and chief executive officer of Etihad Airways. It is noted that there are currently around 16,000 weekly flights between Australia and UAE, making the UAE the 12th largest host country for Australians overseas.
