(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tunis May 03 - Tunis Stock Exchange index ended last week trading down by 0.46 percent and closed at 4506.71 points.
Data of the Tunis Stock Exchange' s broker MENA Capital indicated that rise of stocks recorded during yesterday's session contributed to the reduction of the severity of the downward trend which came after the central bank released a statement announcing an unprecedented expansion of the balance of trade deficit .
Turnover had been weak as its total volume did not exceed by the end of the week TND 7.341.7 million (about 4.8 million U.S. dollars) compared to TND 11.827 million the previous week.
