Occupation Suppresses Peaceful Palestinian March Against Seperation Wall and Settlement


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah May 02 - Israeli occupation forces today suppressed the Al Maasara village weekly march condemning the annexation and racial segregation and settlement expansion near the city of West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlement in the village Mahmoud Aladdin said the occupation forces suppressed the march attacked demonstrators and prevented them from reaching the place in which the separation wall was built.

The marchers staged a sit-in at the place and stressed the need for expediting the completion of the inter-Palestinian reconciliation.

In a related development a large number of Palestinians suffered from varying cases of suffocation due to the occupation forces firing of tear gas canisters during inspection and raids carried out in the town of aba south of Jenin in the West Bank.

Security sources said the occupation forces carried out combing and inspection operations in Jaba amid the firing of sound bombs and tear gas canisters adding that Palestinians clashed with the occupation soldiers but no arrests were reported.
