Bahrain Spain Discuss Relations


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Manama May 01 - King Hamad bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Thursday held a round of lks with King Juan Carlos I of Spain who is currently visiting Manama.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations in addition to a range of regional and international issues of common concern.

They expressed desire to develop relations in the fields of politics economy trade investment cultural and tourism. They also stressed the importance of exerting further efforts in order to develop boost cooperation develop existing partnerships activate the signed agreements and the exchange visits between the two sides.

Bahrain and Spain have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of defence and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on tourism exchange.

The Spanish Monarch arrived here earlier today from Muscat on a visit to Bahrain as part of a gulf tour which has so far included Kuwait UAE and Oman . He will also visit Saudi Arabia this May. The goal of the tour is to bolster Spain's bilateral relations and cooperation with Gulf states.
