QSAP Launches its New Website


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha May 01 - Under the auspices of HE Sheikh Hassan bin Mohamed Al Thani the vice chairman of Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) and the chairman of the Qatar-Sudan Archaeological Project committee the project operators launched their website at Qatar Museums Authority.

The ceremony was attended by a number of media workers in addition to representatives of the Sudanese Community in Doha who were informed about the new website which covers the activities of forty archaeological mission currently operating in the Sudan's states of North and River Nile.

The website www.qsap.qa covers the project's activities in the fields of archaeological and heritage research in Sudan. It also includes bilingual sections on the museums archaeological sites and the history of the Sudan.

The new website is set to serve general public and students particularly those who are conducting researches on archeology and heritage in Sudan.

The Qatar-Sudan Archaeological Project (QSAP) is a Qatari initiative with the objective of promoting the rich archaeological heritage in the Republic of the Sudan. It comes in fulfillment of the will of the political leadership in the two countries to promote the cultural heritage of the country.
