Business investment in Eurozone up in Q4 2013


(MENAFN) Data released by Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU, showed that the business investment rate in the Eurozone edged up in the last quarter of 2013 from the previous quarter, Xinhua reported. The business investment rate stood at 19.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2013, slightly higher compared to the third quarter of the same year. The investment rate in the common currency area is still below the pre-crisis investment rate in 2008 despite the rise, showing a weak willingness to invest in the area. The business investment rate in the fourth quarter of 2013 reached 19.4 percent, increasing slightly in the Eurozone from 19.1 in the previous quarter.
