Lebanese Parliament Fails Again to Reelect New President


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beirut April 30 - Lebanon's Speaker of the House Nabih Berri on Wednesday adjourned the presidential election session till May 7 2014 due to lack of quorum according to National News Agency (NNA).

lawmakers once again failed on Wednesday to elect a new president as differences between the March 8 and 14 alliances led to a lack of quorum in the second parliamentary session aimed at choosing a new head of state.

76 deputies attended the presidential election session at the House of Parliament.
