(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Pyongyang April 30 - North Korea's state media said the North has denounced U.S. President Barack Obama's Asia tour and threatened to continuously pursue boosting its nuclear deterrence.
North state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported a spokesman for the North's Foreign Ministry said Obama's Asia tour was an undisguised act of confrontation.
The news agency added the spokesman said Pyongyang has no time limit for the declaration it made last month which stated the North will not rule out a new form of nuclear test.
The spokesman also said developing nuclear weapons is the North's right to protect itself and cannot be stopped by anyone according to Korea's (KBS WORLD) website.
Earlier the North's National Defense Commission threatened that Pyongyang can carry out measures that go beyond a nuclear test. The commission took issue with Obama's statement during his trip to Seoul urging the North to scrap its nuclear ambitions.
