(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The eighth edition of the QP Environment Fair ended on Sunday after four days of initiatives, presentations, plays, and competitions for schools and many other environment-related activities at Qatar National Convention Center.
The event was inaugurated last Wednesday by
Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of QP, H E Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al Sada, and was organised by QP's Public Relations and Communication Department, under the theme 'Use of Water in the Oil and Gas Industry'.
On the last day of the Environment Fair, participating stands were given awards. The award for Best Stand Design went to RasGas, Best Stand, Educational Activities went to ConocoPhillips, Best Stand, Awareness award went to Occidental Petroleum of Qatar (OXY), Best Stand Design, QP Pavilion, award went to QP Industrial Cities, Best Stand, Learning Activities and Educational Display award went to QP Offshore Operations and Best Stand, Awareness Interactive Model award went to QP Refinery. Students of local schools participated in various competitions, activities, plays and educational presentations promoting environmental awareness among children.
