2 NATO Troops Die in Militants Attack in Eastern Afghanistan


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kabul April 29 - At least two NATO soldiers were killed following militants attack in eastern Afghanistan on Monday the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement.

ISAF said the two service members were died as a result of enemy forces' attacks in eastern Afghanistan on Monday.

The statement by ISAF did not disclose further information regarding the exact location of the incident and nationalities of the deceased soldiers.

ISAF generally do not disclose identities of the NATO soldiers killed in Afghanistan saying "It is ISAF policy to defer casualty identification procedures to the relevant national authorities." This comes as five British troops were killed after their helicopter crashed in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan earlier last week.

At least 29 NATO service members including 16 American troops six British soldier and seven troops from the NATO member countries have been killed in Afghanistan since the beginning of the year.
